Pirate is the dog my sister and I co-own from the first Omegan Border Collies litter. He got his name because of his split-face markings, which gave the appearance of an eye patch, of course! Pirate is a terrific show dog and a wonderful worker, he loves nothing in the world more than a frisbee. He is very strong on sheep and unlike his mother Faith and half-sister Sadie, he is almost difficult to control- because of his power. He finished his AKC championship slowly but with 3 majors, two of which were 5pts. He is definitely very British in looks,  he has very long legs, long body, and tri-color and split face markings which are still relatively rare in the breed ring. He is incredibly proportionate, and has wonderful front and rear angles, effortless movement, and a gorgeous head. He is very big, standing at  around 22 inches at the withers. Pirate also has his UKC and International Championships, which he earned by going Best of Breed and Bred-By group 2nd at both the International show and the UKC show.

Pirate has produced two champions, both of which have multiple Best of Breed wins, and one of his sons is an AKC Herding Group placer.

Pirate lives with Megan Donovan in Colorado.

Unfortunately, Pirate experienced a major decline in kidney function in the fall of 2016, and passed away in late September. He will be sorely missed.
